On 16th October 2017, chief guest and speaker Dr. K.Raghava Rao, Professor & Head, Department Of CSE, KL University inaugurated the beginning of the CSI Student Chapter at Visveswaraiah Auditorium of NECN.
As part of the event, the speaker delivered a Guest Lecture on the topic “Wireless Sensor Networks & its Applications using IoT”. Third and final year B. Tech. students of the CSE Department of NECN were the audience and were greatly inspired by the lecture.
A themed celebration of “National Unity Day” was organized on the eve of the 142nd birthday of Sri. Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel on 31st October, 2017 by the CSE Department together with the CSI Student Chapter.
Sri. Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel and his achievements were commemorated on the day and various competitions were held. Winners were awarded with exciting prizes.
A one week National Level Faculty Development Program on “Graph Algorithms” was organized in the CSE Department from 26th December 2017 to 31st December 2017.
During the program, resource person, Dr. G. Ramakrishna, Associate Professor from IIT, Tirupati dealt with interesting topics covering various interesting graph algorithms, their design and practical applications.
All faculty members of Narayana Engineering College, Nellore
participated in the program apart from faculty members who joined from other Engineering Colleges in India. Participants were awarded with Certificates of Participation at the end of the Program.
The 54th CSI Foundation Day was celebrated by the CSE department on 6th March 2018 at C Block Auditorium. Mr. Y. Kathiresan, Senior Director, CSI, Chennai was invited as the chief guest.
A one day workshop on “Python” was conducted as part of the event for the CSI student members of CSE
Department and participation certificates were awarded to all participants.
